Luxury Lifestyles: Global Gazes Into Dubai, England and the Dominican Republic

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means…the ‘Luxury Lifestyle’ edition of my blog is here- with some global glamour this week. It’s easy to assume that the United States has the most to offer homeowners, with a diversity of cultures, home styles, property types and varying scenic settings (mountains, oceans, plains, urban high rises, etc.). But properties around the world have shown us time and time again that the blending of styles and cultures is not always unique to North America. Here are three global examples of homes that boast the best of both worlds….

Dubai...

Dubai…

If I were to tell you that living on the Persian Gulf could bring you to the lap of luxury – you might do a double take. But have you seen the Gulf like this? This meticulously manicured mansion in Dubai boasts city skyline views, while situated on a golf course with an Olympic size pool in the backyard. Refined craftsmanship and Ralph Lauren furniture impeccably blend quality with quantum-level modern taste.

England...

England…

Is there anywhere in the world that embraces time-honored traditions better than England? When I took a glimpse at this centuries old manor, I assumed all 12 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and 2 kitchens would take me back to King Henry’s court. But modern elegance in the counters, cabinets and design of the bathing and cooking areas is a refreshing surprise. With great schools nearby and ample locale sporting activities to watch and enjoy, living in this classic palace is guaranteed to be anything but old and boring.

Dominican Republic...

Dominican Republic…

When you think Dominican Republic, are you picturing a country with the 9th largest economy in Latin America? Are you thinking you’ll find an iconic estate with an oversized lot? It’s true…the Dominican Republic is the most visited destination in the Caribbean…and this home lets you see why. This 35,000 square foot compound includes two independent pavilions, for the utmost in privacy and tranquility. The private beach and dock are an added and rare bonus to this beachfront gem in the Greater Antilles.

Are you still with me…or are you already off packing your bags?! Taking that gaze into a global view always gives me a greater appreciation for all types of real estate, and the many international insights that come with properties around the world. Sometimes ‘location, location, location’ means traveling far and wide to an unexpected destination.

Have a great rest of the week,
