Monday Market Update: When Good Intentions Go Wrong (Outdated Advice)…

Like the rest of the dynamic world that we live in, the real estate industry is FULL of advice! As soon as you tell someone you are thinking of buying or selling a home (or even if you aren’t!), the very best of intentions can also bring out some of the most outdated or misunderstood advice! The infographic below from the California Association of Realtors® reveals some advice that buyers often receive – that is simply not applicable in the current market anymore.

If you know of a buyer who has fallen into the trap of believing anything they hear from anyone, and who is feeling more than a little stressed out along the way, please know I am always happy to help them receive the support they need.

Outdated Advice

If you are a seller who has questions such as:

| Should I wait to sell for the IPO boom?

| Should I wait until my health fails to downsize?

| Should I stay and hold OR move-up and out?!

… please give me a call! No matter what advice you hear or what you find online about your home value, the only advice that matters is what applies to you. Your home’s condition, location and price point – as well as your own short-and long-term goals are the biggest drivers in timing, strategy and ROI.

Please don’t allow outdated or uninformed guidance drive one of your biggest personal and financial decisions. Seek modern support from an active, experienced & local real estate agent who is determined to help you whether you choose to buy or sell today or not.

All my best,

Bobbi
