Bobbi Decker & Buddy Saupe' Media Programming & Public Appearance Activities
Television
Bobbi Decker has been a host and co-producer with Buddy Saupe' of three half hour television programs aired over 20 years on cable stations around the Bay Area. Most of these programs were shot in one continuous “take” that requires sound preparation, entertaining delivery, and quick-thinking responses to timing questions and insights. She and Buddy also have done hour long “Specials” on a variety of subjects regarding area events. In total, she and Buddy have been an integral part of over two hundred seventy-five (275) television productions.
The three programs were:
Real Estate With Bobbi Decker
Over 100 programs focused on education of the consumer and other Realtors on all the topics related to the industry. (In the later half these programs were live streamed when aired.)
Living Longer - Living Better
Over 25 programs with a magazine formula program for seniors. A relatively the underserved demographic by the media. This programming was also live-streamed on the web. (See "Note" below)
Bay Area Women
Over 160 programs with a focus on women mentoring women in business, health, science, arts and entertainment.
Note: G. W. “Buddy” Saupe' has been her media partner through out all these endeavors. He has a marketing background and devised program formats and naming, developed outlines for scripts, created supporting graphics, arranged for sponsors, guests and crew when needed. He is familiar with all aspects of the TV environment from camera operator on the set and in studio control room, to director, computer graphics operation and switcher. For the newspaper column, he “co-wrote” the first 2 years of the 1000-word weekly columns. For radio, he wrote the show opening script and the weekly the script outlines for each of the three hosts and arranged some of the guest selection. In podcast, he handled the weekly scripts outline.
He also has a greenscreen studio with all the professional equipment that he uses primarily for his and Bobbi’s endeavors. Buddy also positions luxury property video marketing with tailored scripts, equipment and shot lists for videographer teams and does some minor editing.
Newspaper Column
Bobbi was a weekly contributor to the San Francisco Examiner in their Sunday Real Estate Section for more than six (6) years. Writing 1000-word column initially and later reduced to 500-words on a variety of subjects some of which related to her real estate television programs and other pertinent insightful topics on the subject. This writing and her scripting skills for broadcast media makes her very competent in crafting dialogs to tell stories and deliver the essential content for the audience in a compelling manner.
Radio
Bobbi and her co-producing partner G.W. “Buddy” Saupe’ cohosted with a mortgage broker over 3 years a weekly live real estate radio talk program on the Salem Communications local radio affiliate the “Wall Street Business Network”, 1220 AM. This programming was both live-streamed and podcast.
Podcast
After radio, the same team did a podcast only weekly for one year. Our best month was 6000 downloads, and their top three offshore audiences were lead by China, Mexico and UK. Click here to listen to a sample.
Social Media Exposure
Bobbi has two weekly blogs on her web site, www.BobbiDecker.com. “Monday Market Update’ and “Senior Spotlight” on Thursday. These also go out on her Facebook business page and LinkedIn.
In addition, there is a monthly Facebook business page for her students and Realtors. This is titled: “Designation Create Distinctions”. This is part of her Instructing activities teaching a dozen courses for the National Association of Realtors. Most of these efforts are currently done on ZOOM along with courses she and Buddy developed and continue to develop.
Ms. Decker also has two YouTube channels - one for real estate and one for her instruction activities. Below is a sample of a periodic blog and social media post, “Pause On the Pulse of Real Estate”.
Guest or Speaker
In addition, she has been a guest on other radio and television or social media programs, led a variety of seminars and training efforts for live audiences and has several public speaking projects in her long list of public exposure credentials.
Bobbi Decker Non-Media Background
While Bobbi is best known for her real estate industry leadership & expertise, her dedication to education started years ago in her own pursuit of higher education and then as a high school science teacher. Through steadfast drive & determination, Bobbi earned a coveted scholarship from Boston College and graduated with honors (cum laude) with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Education. With a passion for helping individuals pursue personal growth, she has focused on empowering those around her in several pre-real estate careers, including teaching science & chemistry to 9th – 12th graders, serving as an international flight attendant, holding an assistant manager position at Saks 5th Avenue and coaching the first cheerleading squad for the New England Patriots.
Bobbi’s strong independence, unrivaled determination and indisputable ethics have granted her immense trust and respect within the business community. Her diverse career accomplishments and knowledge relate to and help those from all backgrounds with all type of goals. Her varied life experiences and passion for seeing others succeed makes her an ideal coach, mentor and personal champion for those in real estate, entrepreneurial endeavors and beyond. She is transparent and authentic in understanding that life throws us all a ‘curve ball’ (or a few) and knows that paving the way forward is not always easy – but it is possible.
The driving force behind Bobbi’s accomplishments is to keep finding ways to give back. She is actively inspired by the work of countless non-profit organizations that support animals, children, health causes and more. She has been a proud sponsor of nearly 1,000+ children’s cleft palate repairs through Smile Train, and has also contributed to the Peninsula Humane Society, The HEART Of San Mateo County, the Lion’s Eye Foundation of California-Nevada, the REALTOR® Action Fund and many other charitable organizations. She's been awarded the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Commendation Award for Service to the Community, received the American Business Women’s Award of Achievement and is an SRES ® Outstanding Service Award recipient. She holds the 2008 title for Realtor® of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award for Sales Production. Work hard, give more: this is what life is all about.
