Monday Market Update: 14 Top, Chill Ski Towns

Affordable ski towns still DO exist – here is where you can find them!

Winter is just two days away and many celebrations are abound this week! In the spirit of keeping our cool (pun intended!), we wanted to share a just-released article from Realtor.com® revealing America’s most affordable yet still highly rated ski towns.

While homes in Aspen, Vail and Jackson Hole are retaining an average home price of $3 million, Realtor.com® has identified off-radar but on point ski communities with median list prices of under half a million.

Features of these ski lover locales include ideal snow levels and terrain (of course!), built-in communities with friendly, fellow snow lovers, a size of 50,000 residents or less as well as thriving local businesses such as cafes, pubs and shops. The notable California entry on the list is Mt. Shasta – where the article boasts “…you can snowboard and surf on the same day.”

Can you see yourself living in Mt. Shasta, Rutland, VT or any other entry on this list? How about a winter visit to one of these less frequented (and less crowded!) amazing American destinations?

Wishing you a wonderful start to winter!
