Monday Market Update: NAR® Existing Home Sales [Infographic]

The first national sales stats of 2022 are here: demand is high and supply is low!

Just 3 days ago, the National Association of Realtors® released their first infographic depicting the existing-home sales of 2022. The most notable statistics are the year-over-year median prices which are up 15.4% and the inventory residing at just 1.6 months.

The first month of the year is already experiencing higher home prices and lower inventory than this same time last year. The trends of high demand and low supply seem to be supporting continued price increases, which is projected to be slower this year overall. ‘Slow’ is a relative term as a 15% price increase may be less than a 20% price increase… but is still notable!

Note that the infographic above represents national data, and your own region, state and local micro markets may vary greatly. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions about what this latest news means for you!
