The 2022 rankings are in for the Forbes Best Workplaces in Aging Services – check it out!

Have you noticed it’s more fun to be around people who like what they do? Happier employees create better workplace environments, better customer experiences and just all-around good vibes. As such, we thought it would be beneficial to share the Best Workplaces in Aging Services in 2022, as analyzed by Forbes in partnership with the global firm ‘Great Place To Work.’

Methodology According To Forbes: “To determine the Best Workplaces in Aging Services list, Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work who analyzed the survey responses of over 140,000 employees from Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies in senior housing and care and at-home care in the aging services industry. The survey enables employees to share confidential quantitative and qualitative feedback about their organization’s culture by responding to 60 statements on a 5-point scale and answering two open-ended questions. Collectively, these statements describe a great employee experience, defined by high levels of trust, respect, credibility, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.”

Large Workplaces: Among the ‘25 Best Large Workplaces in Aging Services: Senior Housing and Care’, 3 of the organizations were in California: Silverado Senior Living / Irvine (#6), Carlton Senior Living / Concord (#10) and MKB Senior Living / Irvine (#11).

Small & Medium Workplaces: Among the ‘25 Best Small and Medium Workplaces in Aging Services: Senior Housing and Care’, none were in California. Florida, North Carolina, and Illinois all had 3 winning facilities.

Do any of these results a surprise you? On a statewide level, it seems that the happiest aging workplace employees wither work for large companies or at-home care providers – but not small to mid-size companies. There is no doubt a much bigger picture here, as well as an inspiring sector of the workforce that loves what they do and who they help.
