Monday Market Update: 2025 Home Design Trends

3 design leaders share what to get excited about inside & out!

December is here! The last month of 2024 is not only a time to reflect and recharge, but a time to re-focus your priorities. Nearly every one of us has a goal that is home-related in the New Year, whether it be a desire to simply enjoy our homes more, a mass renovation project or a small re-design to our favorite space. In the spirit of getting inspired, we are sharing the top 2025 projected design trends as reported by Real Simple, Forbes and Southern Living

In general, the movement is away from minimalism, all open living and monochromatic tones. Designers are implementing warm tones (lots of red and earthy vibes), more natural materials and textures (stone, brick, cozy woods), bolder style via brighter colors and layered patterns and textures, as well as some nostalgia – look for some 70s and 80s revival via velvet, brass and rattan accents.

While you can read the articles in full on Real Simple, Southern Living and Forbes – we have listed the 5 features of each article that we believe summarize what 2025 could bring. We hope you get excited about how to enjoy your space best in the New Year. With so many cyber sales and end of year events going on – this might be the time of year that it makes ‘cents’ to do a little shopping! Have fun!

Happy 4th of July! The Bobbi Decker Team would like to start off by wishing you all weekend celebrations that are safe, memorable and meaningful! As we welcome the holiday that commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence and our nation’s birth, we deeply honor our freedoms. The 4th of July typically represents the core values of freedom of speech, freedom of religion and the right to pursue happiness. As we embrace all that is possible when we let freedom ring, may we also be mindful of the impact of not honoring one another’s differences.
