Senior Spotlight: Do You Know Which Jobs Make Baby Boomers Happiest?

Happiness & success do not always go hand-in-hand, but when they do, it is a beautiful thing & fantastic way of life! Business Insider just published the results of a new Glassdoor report which reveals which jobs make each generation happiest. Richard Johnson, Associate Economist at Glassdoor and author of the report declares that “For boomers, three different manager positions were part of the 10 jobs with the highest ratings, but president and CEO ranked at the top for this generation. [Both] Gen X and boomers are finding satisfaction in roles that require more years of experience, have more responsibility and wider impact across the business, like president and executive director."
The part of the findings that intrigued us the most (though did not totally surprise us!) was that Realtors® were the top-rated position by millennials and received the 3rd highest average rating by Baby Boomers!
While the article did not state the reasons why, we are pretty sure that the ability to make a meaningful difference, the opportunity to be your own boss and the chance to incorporate your own values into what you do & who you help have something to do with it. 😉
