Many of the provisions of the new law offer hope to seniors, as AARP explains that many of these changes “target legal barriers, financing gaps and rising costs that are pushing many out of their homes.” Critical legislative areas aim to support disaster recovery, seniors living in rural areas, housing supply issues, affordable housing development/inventory and home repair assistance for older adults.
While we all know that change does not happen overnight and that there will always be paths to navigate, the hope is that the years of work, shared priorities and bipartisan support offer a foundation for steps in the right direction and continued momentum in the American Dream.
Cheers to change & collaboration,
