Veterans Day 2025 | Honoring Service To Our Nation

The Bobbi Decker Team is proud to recognize and honor our veterans on Veterans Day and in our spirit of pride and respect for our nation all year. The US Department of Veterans Affairs defines the important purpose of this day as “A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.” We hope that you will join us in appreciating, applauding and celebrating those who have served our nation with only your deepest acknowledgement and tribute. May we honor our veterans with pride in all that we do, all that we protect and all the ways we show our respect for our country.

You may have seen on our blog before that we enjoy sharing the annual theme and poster winner for Veterans Day curated by the Veterans Day National Committee. Each year they designate a theme, which for 2025 is “Service To Our Nation”, and then ask professional and amateur artists to submit posters to represent the theme.

This year’s winner is Jeremy D. Carpenter, who created the poster above titled “Unified by Service” and is a visual representation uniting all uniformed services under one flag and one purpose. The VA describes how this piece “pays tribute to all Veterans regardless of when or where they served, and it emphasizes that service to the nation is not confined to one uniform, one battlefield or one generation. The eagle, flag, and seals work together to portray unity, honor and a continued commitment to freedom.”

Our hope is that this spirit of unity and honor can be carried out in each one of us, for at least this one day of the year, to celebrate the sanctity of our nation and every person who courageously fought to establish and protect our freedoms. May we never, ever lose sight of the immeasurable sacrifices made by those in uniform. As it is often said, “We don't know them all, but we owe them all.”
