Monday Market Update: Hottest Zip Codes In The West

Summer is still here; this is where housing is sizzling… 

While most schools are back in session or about to be, the reality is that we are still in the summer season. The summer market is showing some later than usual heat given various economic conditions including rates that are the lowest we’ve seen in almost a year. 


In the spirit of all that is still sizzling, Realtor.com® recently released some data on the hottest zip codes in the US, then broke it down by region. A ‘hot’ zip code as defined by the publication is one in which “…buyer interest is strongest and homes are flying off the market.” In addition, Realtor.com’s Hottest ZIP Code rankings account for market demand as measured by unique viewers per property and pace of the market as measured by the number of days a listing is active on the site. 

Do any of these metros surprise you? Have you considered moving to one of these areas yourself? Do you know someone who has moved to one of these desirable locales… I would bet most of us do! I can think of many in my network who have relocated to the Sacramento/Roseville area especially... 😉
