Monday Market Update: Inventory Report By CAR®
Did you know you can find out the inventory in your county every month?
July is almost over and within weeks many families will be sending their young ones back to school. But readers of the Bobbi Decker real estate blog are lifelong learners and know that knowledge is power. This week we are excited to share a resource from the California Association of Realtors® that we have not shared with you yet: the Monthly Active Inventory Report By County.
We all know that real estate trends are local – and quite often hyperlocal. The national and statewide headlines about the number of homes on the market may or may not apply to your county or neighborhood at all. One place to start when you want a glimpse into the inventory in your county is the CAR® Monthly Active Inventory Report. This one-page snapshot can be downloaded by county and lists the cities in each county – as well as the statewide and countywide data with regards to homes for sale, percentage growth year-over-year, median list price and median days active.
We have downloaded the
San Mateo County Inventory Report for you as an example below.

We hope that with a new tool in your toolbox, you feel empowered to access the information you need about your local real estate market at any time. Remember that the very best decision you can make – is the one that is right for you. Data is a critical piece of the decision puzzle – please let us know if you need help applying it to your personal situation!
All my best,
Bobbi
