Monday Market Update: San Mateo County Statistics

Local level market data (and where to find yours!).

Knowledge is power and as we march into the spring market, we wanted to share what is happening on a local level in San Mateo County. Below we have provided some graphics courtesy of the California Association of Realtors® that is indicative of market trends as of January 2026. February 2026 data will be available in the next 2 weeks. For reference, here are how a few of these data points compare to state averages.

As you can see, real estate trends are very hyper-local and can vary greatly within each county depending on the neighborhood, and across the state as well. Therefore, any time you hear news outlets reporting home price and sales data – be sure to ask yourself: Is this national data, state data, or county level data? Does this apply to where I live? What features of my residence and community might impact my own value, resale value and opportunities?
