Monday Market Update: California Housing Sentiment Index

Here is how recently surveyed Californians feel about housing today – do you agree?

Buy. Sell. Stay. Invest. Move-Up. Downsize. Strategize. Chances are that one or more of these real estate options has crossed your mind as you’ve seen home prices level out, inventory increase (slightly!) and considered how and where you want 2021 to draw to a close. How you are feeling about the market is not only impacted by the news you read and the expertise that you seek, but how those around you feel about it too!

On that note, here is the latest edition of the California Housing Sentiment Index utilizing responses from 1,000 state consumers surveyed just last month. As you can see, there is a slight increase in the belief that it is a good time to sell and home and that it may easier to find a home in the next 12 months. There is also an increase in those who believe that California economic conditions will NOT improve in the next year, and an increase in those who believe interest rates will fall.

If you have any questions at all about what the market can do for you today or what information is most important to help you make knowledgeable decisions about tomorrow – please do not hesitate to reach out.

There is still time to feel great about how 2021 ends and 2022 begins - if you start strategizing now!
